Hello,
Is it possible to have my Win-XP-Pro computer think the following url is valid:
\\server\foldera\folderb\

The problem is that when we deploy MS-Access to our sites, our MDE has linked tables to a database in the above URL. But to do that, we must go to our test system that actually has a connection to that server (we have no such connection available to our own workstations). MS-Access will not let me define the link to the table because it can't find it.

Any ideas are appreciated! Thank You!

Last night a more senior guy helped me and we changed both Hosts & lmhosts files. It fakes it enough to ping it, but still MS-Access knows it's bogus. He thought it may be a TCP/IP setting (maybe in WINS, or something).

Thanks you for the reply!
