Again, not a Netware expert but Can Groupwise 5.5 host more than 1 domain? I've been told by a Netware specialist that it can't.

Hi,

The person you talked to is incorrect unless he said that GroupWise can have only one Primary Domains. Within a GroupWise sysytem you can have 1 Primary Domain, multiple Secondary Domains and Mutiple Foreign Domains.

So let's say that user1@company1.com has a mailbox as user1@company1.com.

Groupwise can be configured so that mail to user1@company2.com and user1@company3.com will go to user1@company1.com?

Hi,

Yes. When you set up Secondary domains, within the same system, they will all have links to each other.

Check out this link wich will bring you to the GroupWise documentation. It will explain everything you need to know about Domains and setting them up.

You can address this issue by properly configuring the GWIA and your MX records. The GWIA can handle numerous internet domains for e-mail (the part after the "@"), and once a properly configured GWIA receives the message from your provider it only looks a the username before the "@".

Hi,

Sorry about the wrong response. I guess I better pay more attention to the question.
