Hi,
I hope you can help. I have a lot (say about 1000) files that need to have the file extension changed from ".550" to ".tif". Is there any quick and easy way to do this without doing each one by hand?

Thanks for your help,
Bill

open a command window (run/cmd is one way to this)

Navigate to the salient folder

type
rename *.550 *.tif

Thanks, STDUC. Wow! I think I forgot all my DOS commands. I had to go to the books for a refresher, but that worked absolutely beautiful.
