I know when you log into IP Office you can check off the Ex Directory option if you want to disable a user from the Dial By Name directory. But is there a way for the end user to make this decision via voicemail option, short code, etc?

Can you tell me how with Voicemail Pro?

Help just tells you how to create a Dial By Name Module, which is already installed and working. Seems Voicemail Pro can't let end users enable/disable Dial By Name themselves, thanks anyway though.

You can have them delete their recorded name. You can only be accessed via dial by name in vmpro if you have recorded your name in your mailbox. So, delete your recorded name and you're out of the directory.

sizbut, ex directory is only accessible via the Manager. You know end users can't access the Manager and check off the ex directory option right?

Hey mak0Reacter, sizbut gave you the answer. Given the link he provided to you, I just made up a test call flow in VM Pro accessed via a shortcode and I can enable and disable the exdirectory setting.

Learned something new, thx sizbut.
