Hi guys! This might be a silly question, but can DNS be on a member server or does it need to be on a DC? I had a DC which I demoted and now I'm having problems with long logon times and it just acts funny...When I go into the DNS option on the now member server, the DNS is empty for this server...Should I uninstall DNS or is it okay to have it on a member server?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry, we're running Win2k Server acrross the network.

you can remove it, or make it a secondary DNS server....
