Can anyone help with "Dial In" problems on NT Servers.
Actually dialing in to a Server and logging on is not a problem. The
problem comes when I try to map drives. Some PCs are fine, others seem
to have a mind of their own (especially laptops). I have configured many pc's
to dial into servers, all can ping the server but not all can see the
server when I do a search by either name or IP address. I even have one PC that
can not see the server it is dialed into but can see the PDC and map to it.
I am using a mix of Win95, Win98 and Workstation OS. Can anyone explain
why this is and suggest a solution?
Are you using WINS?

LMHOST files with 0x1c/0x1b entries are useful for fixing name resolution problems with remote clients.

Look at article Q150800 on MS technet (technet.microsoft.com I think!)

Also test drive mappings from DOS prompt - the errors give you more to work on.. Error 53 - No name resolution..
