I'm building a website for a client where users request a report from a form. The system will then generate specific tables and graphs and save them as a PDF file which the user can then download.

I have never used acrobat before so I would like to know:

1. Can I script acrobat to automatically create pdfs?
2. If so, which version of acrobat do I need?
3. Which languages can I use?
4. Where would I get information on this (the adobe web-site didn't have much info)?
5. Are there any other products that would be good for this task?

Any information would be greatly appreciated

Acrobat isn't licensed for servers. Their Document Server tool is used for server-based PDF creation, and it's very pricey.

Look into the server-side PDF tools from I've used their stuff and it works well.
