Can a 3X8 system expand up to 16 sets?

I have a Norstar 3X8 system - is it possible to purchase an expansion of somesort to increase the number of phones? I don't really need more lines, just more phones. This system is going into a new Fire station so a lot of the phones won't necessarily be used a lot - more for convenience and system paging.

3X8 : 3 = lines and 8 = phones

You will need a CICS ($1000) or BCM50 ($1800) when it comes to Nortel.

Conceivably you might find another old dinosaur out there...a 6X16 (the big brother to what you have) I would value that one at about $1.75 (jk)

I'd also recommend looking for a 616 with DR5 in case they ever want to add voicemail.

Thanks everyone. It's what I thought. I was hoping to save the project some money with deploying a 3X8 I removed from another site. Oh well. Thanks.
