I’m trying to set simple file sharing
When I select a folder, then tools, folder options, then View. There is no Use Simple File Sharing.
How to I load it or make it visible.
I’m using XP Home and am logged on as admin
Thanks for your suggestions

SP Home is always Simple File Sharing. There are no other choices.

Shouldn't I be able to see it under the above selection to disable or enable
Thaks for your reply

As it is the default, simple file sharing is always on in Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition you only have that choice in Pro.

Accessing Security Tabs in Home is only possible via Safe Mode. But have a look at this for a workaround.

Using the NTFS is also necessary.

In Home, Simple File Sharing is the network security model. You do not need to disable it or enable it, it just is the security model for network connections. You can uncheck File and Printer Sharing under Network Connections, Properties to remove any possibility of network sharing from your computer.
