Calls transferred take a log time to reach VM

A customer with a Norstar MICS and Flash VM is reporting that when a call is transferred it rings a long time before going to VM. How do I go about knocking this down to about 3 rings?

In Config Or Admin programming go to Sets/XXX/Capabilities/Forward

make sure that your call forward no answer is not less than reception phone's cfn answer as all voice mails will go there. you could transfer to voice mail direct, Feature 986
 
In another words don't have your mailboxes forwarding to voicemail on a lesser ring then your AA/Main Greeting.


This applies to extensions that have lines programmed as appear n ring and ring only.
