how does the call get to 2600?

Thanks

Trevor

2600 is most likely a DN in your DID range and your toll free number is pointed to that DN. Your service provider would be the one handling this.

I dont see any Incoming Digit Conversion table on this route but take a look in ld 49. The IDC tables

Hi

Thanks, All of our other lines are setup as you said but the DID i was given for these lines is ***-4576

I will look at the Idc tables

Thanks

Trevor

Hi

Nothing for 2600 or 4576 in IDC table print

We just ordered a bunch of DID's and had them activated, i am thinking something happened on telco side. Also very possible i was given the wrong did for this line.

Could someone tell me the difference between mcr and scr

Thanks

Trevor

MCR=multi call ring, often called poor mans ACD. You have a single DID that can appear an multiple phones, if 1 person answers that key, a second call can ring in on the same DID / MCR key on all other sets with that appearence.

SCR=single call ring, multiple phones can have a scr appearence, however this DID / SCR can only recieve a single call, the second will go busy or follow the MARP phones hunt sequence. Also all other sets with this SCR will have a visual indicator showing in use status.

My bad I didnt even look to see that this was a COT route, not a T-1/PRI. LD 21 do a LTM on route 1 this will give you your individual trunk members (TN's) then you can print them in LD 20. You most likely have an Auto terminate DN to extention 2600. If this is infact the correct route the calls come into.

Hi

I printed the LTM on route 1 and the tn's do not match

NACT

I have contacted telco and they said there is a problem with the local number that the tol free # terminates to and should have this fixed today.

I would still like to know how these calls are routed. Is it possible this route one is an old route and has just not been removed? I think all of our calls come in via PRI and i am thinking the cot route is something old.

How are calls routed when not in acd and last 4 DID digits do not match extension?

Thanks

Trevor

Ok, now go to LD 20 and PRT each indivdual TN.

They do not match beacuse each one is an individual trunk on your Univeral trunk cards. You have several trunks built for route 1.

Once you print the Tn's this will tell you what DN they terminate on.

Thanks 56BelAir

All of the tns from the LTM have atdn of 2600

So how does the pbx know when call comes in from 4576 to use route 1?

The Trunks in this case COT, copper or POTS whatever you want to call them are hard wired into your system on these TN's which are programed to terinate the call on DN 2600

Telco has pointed your Toll free or (800) numbers to these 5 COT lines, they are probably in a hunt sequence from telco. This Number 4576 is probably the last 4 digits of the pilot number of these 5 COT lines.

Hi 56BelAir

Thank you so much for your explanations of the MCR, SCR and the COT routes. You have been a great help.
