Location A LocationB
loc DN(opt11)<-Mux->LocalLoop256Kb<-Mux->T1(otherSW)loc DN

A caller in Location B wants to call a localDN in location A using the diagram above.

Settings for T1s on both location
AMI/D4
E&M Immediate Start

T1s for both location are in sync.

Calls from Location A to Location B's local DNs have no problem.

Calls from Loc B to Loc A are ok except that sometimes calls are being dropped and caller from LocB to LocA are not being processed even if there are free trunks.

check you routing ion the far end for overflows that may have been taken out.. ie a step built in an acod or a second entry in a rlb.. if your not seeing problems in the lcnt, i would double check the software.. expected digits. timers. etc

will take a look at the things you have mentioned. Additionally, not all calls are not being processed, actually most of the calls are being processed although sometimes unprocessed calls are occuring.

therewas no RLB in any side of the ckt

Question,

Can I use Wink start on both of the T1s even if they are multiplexed over a 256Kb Local Loop?

256Kb Local Loop

yes on the wink start, but that will not fix your problem. the above quote is your problem. your original post might as well read. "i am dropping calls because i didn't buy any bandwidth" increase the bandwidth, or drop the share and you'll see a big improvement

hi

thanks for the information, i will definitely look into that concern. However, I just want to give more information on the problem. There were no dropped calls from locA to locB (100% ok). What I'm experiencing is a one-way problem, which is calls from LocB to LocA. Whenever the problem is happening, I'm hearing a fast-busy tone upon trunk seizure (LocB calling a local DN in LocA) even before digits received by opt11. I couldn't suspect that there are problems on the trunks because the problem is on specific trunks because when I set the route to OGT the 24 channels are all ok.

Many thanks.....

Hi,

After careful examination of the problem, I have adjusted the inter-digit delay in LocB. I performed 100 test calls from LocB to LocA and they are successful....

Just sharing.....

Thanks john poole, the idea of adjusting the inter-digit timeout came from your inputs.

Many thanks....
