What would be the correct way to change the ELAN address on an existing CallPilot server?
It seems to me that the M1 would need to have something done in it also, so that the ELAN (LD 48) would re-acquire to the new ELAN address of the server.

I would change the address of the ELAN by the call pilot config wizard, I believe from memory by changing the ELAN address in the config wizard setup that it also changes the actual NIC card address, although you would need to ensure that the Sub net mask and default gateways are correct. Once the config wizard is run it will reboot the callpilot, and as long as the address is in the same subnet as the original address it should pick the elan connection, however if you are changing subnets you will have to revise the M1 subnet, LD 117, new host, chg elnk active chg elnk inactive, chg route update etc etc

I have changed the ELAN address in CallPilot using the Config wizard, (More than once) but I still can’t get the AML/ELAN link to re-acquire to the new address of the CallPilot server. I have disabled the M1 side of the ELAN and re-enable it, but it is still acquired to the old ELAN address. At this point I'm about to delete the ELAN and rebuild it so that I get moving forward on my install.
Also I was told that the M1 (81C 3.0) has issues with an IP host ID 252?

you may have to disable and enable you elink in LD 137. We ran into a simular situation and that is how we were able to fix that issue.

Been there and done that several times.
I built a 2nd ELAN resource and rebooted the CP Server and still I can’t get the ELAN/any ELAN to re-associate with the new CP ELAN address.

From the CP Server I can ping the M1 PBX; but I get no response from the CP server if I ping it from the M1 PBX.

can you post the ip address for the elan in the pbx and
also post your elan that in callpilot server

no problems only solutions

Sorry for not following up, I have been working with our vendor’s tech support, although we haven’t found the issue they are working on it. I will post the resolution when I have one. At the moment we are looking at the ELAN NIC card.
