Hello everyone,

I got an 81c running Succession 3. Were trying to make a call to canada and I dont know if anyone has had to do this before in our company before or not but were getting a fast busy when we try to dial it.

Were dialing 9 + 011 + 1 + Area Code + Tel #

Does something need to be setup in my RLIs and NPAs or something or we just dialing it wrong?

Thanks

Ryan

Canada falls within the NANPA, so remove the 011 in your dialing string. It is dialed just like any US long distance call. 9 + 1 + AC + Number

to determine if the problemis is in bars, dial the number, note when you get a busy. if it's before the nxx, it's usually a npa that's not in your ld 90. i can't help with the dial string, i agree that canada in the nanp, but i don't dial numbers in those area codes very often, but srmega checks his data and i can't remember every seeing a bad post from him

I'm with srmega on this too, I watch Canadian numbers dialed in the CDR data and it's dialed just the same as a domestic US number, of course the billing rate is different.

Thanks

Must of worked the helpdesk didnt call me back after I told them to dial it like a normal US call.

I agree with srmega and phannah. All of canada are NPA's. Should be 9-1xxx........., there are at least 20+ npa's for canada, I know that 416 is 1 of them.

3 votes for srmega41. Just make sure the NPA's are in your switch. Check in LD 90.

If only end users were as easy to work with.

You know, there is a reason USER is a four letter word!!!

418 was what they were calling I did end up having to add it to our ac1. The helpdesk got back to me today. There a little slow. :)
