Hi Everyone,
Due to local toll issues, I need to send 141 exchanges for a certain area code down our long distance pipe. Our service vendor told me that the best way to do that was to OUT the NPA's for the area code, and then enter in as an SPN.

I was able to do that, set the default RLI for the SPN, and then went ahead entering SDRR and ARRN entries, entering the ARLI for each.

Things went great until I got half way down the second page of extensions.

Then I got ESN0068, 'No more restricted numbers allowed for this code.'

I imagine that's a system setting to save memory for entered SPN's.

Where can I open that up a bit? any hazards in so doing? can I do it just for this one SPN.

Also, not too clear on how I change an SPN with ARRN entries after the fact. For example, how do I take an exchange out of the ARRN list or add other ones? Not to bad to just out it and recreate, but wondering how that works.

Thanks, Nortel gods!

Okay, I understand. So the below is an example of what you're doing (I'm using area code 212 as the example)

SPN 212555 - 555 being a local exchange which you'll put over your local route

SPN 212666 - 666 being a long distance exchange which you'll put over your long distance route

I'll think about it and get backt to you.

coniglio, not quite.

In my solution, using the NPA 212 as an example, I entered two SPN's:

212

and

1212

Or each SPN, you define the RLI, I define that as my local T-1 as most of the area code is local to me. Then you do SDRR(Supplemental Digit Restriction and Recognition) entries. Recognition being the operative word. You put in ARRN entires(Alternate Routing Remote Number) where you define an NXX to alternatively route, when prompted you tell it which RLI to go out at the ARLI prompt. You can only enter 64 of these, but it worked for me, as I only found 29 NXX's that were actually being used that I would rather send over LD.

So what if you set it up the way I posted? then you could also eliminate your problem with the lead 1 because you could use a DMI table to insert/remove the one.
1212555 - local NXX
RLI X
in this RLI create a DMI table to remove 1.

1212666 - long distance NXX
RLI Y
in this RLI no DMI manipulation is needed.

Wouldn't this work?
