Calling functions within 3rd party DLL

Anyone on syntax for calling functions within 3rd party DLL using Clipper5.3/Blinker?

Current application is setting DDE communications to/from .dbf files. Application takes too long to run currently, so I was hoping to try calling functions directly from clipper in hopes to speed processing of the batch process.

Any help appreciated...
