CallerID problem on TN429D

I installed a TN429D to get callerID on my analog trunks. Now I get callerID only for about 60% of the time even from the same calling numbers. That means 40% of the time the CallerID of a calling party won't show, even if has done so before from the same number. If it does not, it says "anonymous" on the display.
This is my setting:
Receive Analog Incoming Call ID: Bellcore

Do I have a faulty board?

Forget the "anonymous" showing on the display, that was nonsense. No callerID on many calls.
Below list trace on my incoming trunk for two calls from the same number. First one showing CallerID, the other one not.
First one has an entry "Category +CPN ........." That is smissing on the second one.

After how many rings does your analog board answer? IIRC, its halfway between the 1st and 2nd ring that CLID passes - at least in North America. Maybe setting it to 3 rings to answer might help?

The incoming destination of my trunk is a VDN. Maybe if I set a wait time to 2 or 3 seconds rings hearing ringback until the announcement plays, that would do it.
Or do you have something else in mind when you say set it to 3 rings until the board answers?

I'm thinking more in the analog trunk group than the vector. If that CO trunk answers before 2 full ring cycles complete on the telco side, you'll never get caller ID - and that has to be before your vdn/vector kicks in.

no you were right on in adding a higher wait time this is used to collect caller id.

I set the wait time in the vector to 3 seconds before the first announcement plays. I still got the same issue. CallerID about every second time.
Is there a way, as Kyle said, to adjust the time until the board itself answers?

no not really... can you not try another port on the suspected faulty board ,or ideally a different board to test its not that circuit causing the grief.

APSS (SME)
ACSS (SME)
ACIS (UC)

The first call was on TG 2, member 1. The second example was on TG 2, member 3. Are all members in the Trunk Group using TN429 ports?

Kevin

Yes, they are all on the same board.
I will check for CallerID on individual ports now.

Just checked. It is not that particular ports are not showing CallerID. It is completely random.

I would do this, test with a butt set and cell phone and see if you get caller id on all calls made, you may find that one of the trunks is not providing caller id

These are my trunk group settings:

lets take the pbx out of the loop and do test as my last post suggested, may have 1 trunk not providing caller id

Set incoming seizure to 120. Still happening.
What exactly does the incoming seizure field do?
