I have a customer who has a G3v6 which is networked to 10 other sites. The caller id is not passing from the main site to the other remote sites. Now I know that if a caller hits the attendant at the main site, vmail att, that is they will not get the id at the remote site. But when dialing a DID that hits the main switch via PRI and is UDP to the remote switch, we get the label of the incoming Trunk group at the main site, which is ISDN-DID? What is not working right? Why can we not get caller id at the end sites?

Thanks,

In your trunk setup page do you have "Out going display" set y and "send name" y and "send connected number"y ? Wisdom is Knowledge

Thanks Phoneman2. Yes, I did check all of these. They were all set to yes other than outgoing display, which I changed to Y, but it still doesn't work? Are their limitations to this switch version? Also, If voicemail picks up at the main location and the caller options out to transfer to a remote location; no caller id will follow, correct?

Thanks again.

Do you have this set up
Look under CH ISDN PUB
The 61 under ext code is a 4 digit DID number, CPN Prefix is area code and prefix

That won't work either...

I had a project recently where we had to get two switches to do exactly what you are asking...

You need to have DCS+ between the switches to allow that information to be passed on...

If you will check the clear channel trunk group ties that you are using, you will probably see that they are not designed as ISDN-PRI trunking.

It is not an easy task for the amatuer...

Ask a qualified business partner to do this for you some night.

Both switches have to have DCS+ enables as well as PRI feature enabled in the SYS PAR CUST field.

good luck,
