Is it possible to set the caller ID to your main number and not display, to the person that you call, the trunk that you might happen to have sent the call out on?

Ex. I have 5 trunks: 555-1111, 555-2222, 555-3333, 555-4444, and 555-5555. I want all calls to have 555-1111 as the caller ID that is sent out. I know that this is possible on an ISDN PRI circuit, because our company is doing it at our Corporate office. Any suggestions?

Sounds like something that'll have to be set in the public network by your local provider.

Kind Regards,

I think mcopini is headed in the right direction. I believe if 555-1111 is the lead number on your bill, that you can request that that be the number displayed on callerID. I haven't setup it up in sometime, so I am having to reach back remember how I did that at a previous job.

Thanks for the suggestions. Our local provider has told me that it is not possible to setup on CO Trunks but obviously can be done on a PRI circuit.

Can be done on PRI, and you have to tell your provider whether he will send out your main number at all times, or that they have to detect member numbers as well.
In the first case they will allways send out your main number.
In the second case they will send what you send them, being either the member name, or the general number depending on how you have set up the 'per station CPN' option on the extension form.
and ISDN public-unkown-numbering settings

You can administer the ISDN Caller ID on the trunk group form.

Type "cha tru (x)", go to page two. There you can set Send Name and Send Calling Number to N.

Now all your out bound calls on that trunk group will show the billing number (usually the main DID).

If you need more control over what number sends what, you can type "cha isdn pub". This is more cumbersome but lets you have full control over what the extension displays when they leave the PBX.

Hope this helps,
