Can you receive caller id information on a phone built as a 500 port? I haven't seen one before but customer brought it up.

I too have not seen one used but I would say yes that the CLI would be presented on the analogue phone as long as carrier sending the CLI through.

I think you have to use a modem card for this to work. I don't believe regular analog MW/Line cards support CLID.

modem class card will provide that feature, with the right pack turned on

John,
Is that a 16 port card like MW/Line cards? Or per phone basis?

i am under you need one class modem card for x number of analog stations. i've been told it's more like a dtr card then a line card. i haven't added that feature so i just know what i read here. try an adavnced search withen nortel for post with modem+class. might find the eng guide lines

I had to research this sometime back.
Look under Features and Services for CLASS: Calling Number and Name Delivery.
CLASS = Custom Local Area Signaling Service.
Like JohnPoole said; a shared line card (NT5D60AA) like the DTR. I seem to remember something about 32 units per card.
Service is also Package Dependent
