hi all, this is a weird one for me. so we installed 3 new PRI circuits in one of our sites. they're from AT&T w/caller ID. 2 months later, the folks up there tell me they don't see the caller ID in the Buffer Box. according to the site, the agents see caller ID on their phones, but it's not being passed from the PBX to the Call Detail box.

very odd. i've checked routing, CLID, CDR_Data, not sure what the issue is. now they're telling me to turn on ANI, but not sure where to do this.

one last thing. i checked another site where we have Succession 3.0 and the same carrier AT&T and they get caller ID on their reports, so this should be simple to fix.

wow, it can't be that easy. we get outbound call detail, we just don't get inbound CDR. is this all i have to turn on?

yes, but I though CLID was for outbound traffic, not for inbound calls.

CLID, in this context, is specifically related to CDR on inbound. Here is someones CFN (just the PARM gateway) where they said CLID=YES

Now this is not to say your CDR package can interpret the "multiple lines of info per call" records that are generated - but most can. The CLID of the caller appears on the second line of the call record.

I seem to recall an INI required to take effect?

Been a while since I tested that, but I seem to recall that being the case back in Rel. 23. Now that I am thinking of that, it may be a change from OLD format to New format on CDR.
