I'm trying to get an understanding of what your companies do regarding the passing of caller-id. I have my main DID block owned by a specific carrier. When I call out over them the individual DID's pass to the far end. I also have some other carrier circuits for outbound only/carrier diversity; However, since those carriers do not own the DID's they do not pass them on their circuits. They will only pass the BTN of that circuit, which is a number not part of my production DID range. While these circuits are not the first choice in the route patterns the questions still come up of why we can't pass our numbers no matter what circuit the call goes out on. I've played around with public unknown numbering and this still doesn't override. Are there options out there i'm not thinking of while trying to have carrier diversity? These are traditional ISDN/PRI's... would a SIP trunk from another provider offer something like that?
