Feature 819, Name and number blocking, only works on ISDN lines since the norstar sends out the Outgoing Line Identifier this gives you a way to block the ID on an ISDN line since the ISDN does not normally have *67 available as a code.
The Telco can no longer set up lines to block caller ID on all calls with the exception of Police, fire department and I beleive healthcare workers. (directive from the FCC)
If you have Loop start lines you can try this: create a route table that dials out * 6 7 pause(feature 7 8) then set up a destination code to be dialed when you want to block caller ID (if 8 is available use it) set the destination code to absorb 1 digit and use your route code that you set up earlier. now when you dial 8 plus any number it will first throw away the first digit (8) and pass the rest of the digits to the route code. the route code will first dial the * 6 7 then pause then dial the digits it received from the destination code.
Call goes out with private number or call blocked displaying at the other end (with exception of 911 of course) JerryReeve
