Call won't go to Mail on Forward Busy

I have a 2616 with two MARP DN's. With 5300 (key 0), no problems, calls will go to mail on a Busy or No answer. But with 5624 (key 1) calls will go to mail on a No answer but not on a Busy. Instead, you hear a message "the line is busy, please call back later". Both DN's have their own MailBox. 5624 doesn't exist on any other phone.

Can someone tell me what I'm missing? Here's the printout of the 2616;

Do you know where this recording is coming from. I have to believe it is comming from voice mail. I'd check voice mail for the mailbox setup. Compare it (5624) to the mailbox that works (5300).

that recording is coming from the central office.. if that number is coming in atdn then the trunk is busy because it has no hunt target.. ie the office see's the busy on the trunk,

that recording could also be comming from the MM or CP system. There is a prompt in both system called "notified caller of busy line" ...you'll have to toggle it to no or uncheck it. I can't which screen the prompt is located at but I would check the mb cls or system parm for it.

I agree with janeenaj, the message is coming from Meridian Mail and is advising the caller that the user is currently on the phone it should still go through to mail at the end of the message. There is a setting in the class of service on each mailbox - on this mailbox the option is set to "notify callers of busy line - yes". Change then test accordingly. Hope this helps?

on my pilot i get, 2435(or name) is on the phone, then the recorded msg.. i've never gotten the pls call back later from cp or mermail, but have from secondoy dt providers as opposed to a busy

are you testing internal? if so make sure 5624 has a mailbox or is a mailbox ext and not in your vsdn table

I have tested both internal and external, same message and I do have a mailbox programmed for 5624.

As far as programming a 2616 on TN 4 0 6 16, I tried that but when I try to add 5624 to key 01 of the other 2616, I get a sch5625 "Multiple Appearance data DN is not allowed".

Unless.... I forgot to chg the CLS to VCE... I'll try that and let you know what happened..
