A little assistance please,

I have a phone(x3806) with an NCOS of 6 which routes calls to the unblocked carrier.

I call forward phone to area code 678(Atlanta, GA).

If I call x3806 from another extension, the call goes out the correct route.

If I call from an off-site phone, i.e. cell phone, then I'm routed out to the long distance route which requires a code to get out.

Scratching my head!

The NCOS of the incoming trunks would also need to be a 6. Alternately, you could print your RDR data in LD 21 and look under the OPT prompt. If it is set to CFO, change it to CFF and test. If it still fails, you would need to change your trunk NCOS levels.

Changing from CFO to CFF did the trick. One question. If I leave the OPT set to CFF is there a down side?

Thanks so much!

The CFF and CFO options just tell the system how to determine the permission level when forwarding a call externally.

CFF - Call Forward Forwarding - uses the permissions of the forwarding set.

CFO - Call Forward Originating - uses the permission of the Originating entity (trunk for incoming trunk call, or station if you dial the DN of the set from another set) to determine the permission level.
