I have the call pilot and I had Verizon add 3 way calling to my private line. I am trying to setup the feature of "press 5 to call my cell phone" and have it do the switchhook, dial my cell, and then switchhook again. But everytime I try to use it, it disconnects the call. It will work if I merge 2 lines, but sometimes that is not as clear. I can make a call from my set, F71, dial another number, F71 again and all 3 of us are on the call, but again, this is only if I do it manually at the set. Anyone else run into this problem?

Thanks - Barney

it's actually "press 7" and you have to set the COS to allow outbound transfer, and have user go into admin on mailbox and follow outbound transfer setup. you will have to set up the digits to send a flash/link to the outside line by having mailbox dial a # to the phone system. you set this up as special digits from press admin press 8 press admin press OK press add dial 5 press add dial rest of number to transfer to press ok press change to turn transfer on press quit.

check out the reference guide for the VM for more detail.

and there is only 1 flash hook involved. you only put the # before the number. You do not put a # after the number. when you flash after the number you create a 3 way. You only want an off premise xfer, which frees up the line once completed.
