Is it possible to have calls answered by call CP and still answer the call if all the lines are on a group of phones?

A small sales company wants the calls to go to CP but if someone be comes avilable they can break into the call.

Odd yes but I need to ask. If customer wants to pay for it I will do it.

Thanks

Even though the line appears on a phone and you can see it is being used, it is private to who or what is using it.

You can break in to a call when a caller is actually leaving you a message in your mailbox (f987-VM interrupt), but if a caller is in the Auto Attendant, the only way I can think of is to turn auto privacy off in your line settings- which wouldn't necessarily interrupt the AA, it would just "poor man's conference" you into the call. I don't think this is what you're after, and I'm not sure it'd work with CP anyway.

Have you considered ACD?

Hunt groups may be the immediate answer to your problem. If a call can't be answered fast enough, you can escalate it to a secondary hunt group for immediate attention or send it to vmail or send it right back to the original group again if I'm not mistaken. It's much easier to work with than ACD and if you have 5.0? or newer software, it's already built in.

you can try change auto privacy to N in trunk programming and see if it will let you take call that APPEAR AND RING OR JUST APPEAR on set..not sure but may work
