I had a CP100 pwr supply quit and my supplier sent me a new one. It blew the unit out! I then saw that the output was 48V!!! Just need to confirm that this caused the unit to fry. I am going to have to fight with my distributor for a replacement. I know the old 9V's were replaced by 8V's, so I can only imagine what more than 5X that voltage did!

Thanks!

Yes it would be the cause.

There is a reason for selling proper power supplies for the right equipment.

Good luck with your fight.

thanks guys! I already knew the answer, but I think my distributor is going to want your second and third opinion. I can't beleive they sent me a 48V?!!!

8v.
8v.
8v.

Sorry, it's the only opinion I've got.

I'd be upset, too.

yes, I was pretty torched, but my wholesaler is going to send me a new one. He chacked and the guy in the warehouse pulled the unit from a bin that was filled with power supplies for an i2004 phone which looks almost identical. Honest mistake, but I will be checking for 2 prong 8V on every one from now on. I am very happy my supplier stepped up to the plate to replace as a result of thier human error. My customer will be happy also that I am not having to charge them for a new CP100. Thanks again to all!
