call pilot 100 greeting distorted 2

customer has a CP100 ,greeting plays fine untill the very end and then it sounds like a tape being fast rewound

or stay on the lin ..BZZ@##$EChg

no one has reported it in mailbox messages

the info box plays fine so it seems to be a issue with this one greeting


Im going to go in tues and try resetting and then re-recording the greeting but I thought Id post and see if anyone else had experianced this
 
thanks Marv But I would think all the greetings and messages would be distorted if that where the case and I wouldnt expect consistancy

its just this one and it comes in constantly at the exact same place ,45 sec in to the greeting .

 
I've also seen garbled playback/recording on only one MB/phone also due to bad line cord on the recording phone. Find out which phone was used for recording the greeting. A reboot probably won't cure it. its probably recorded that way.

Yeah Listen to nortelnorstar skip .. I thought the SAME thing as you but recently encountered the same type of problem at a customers. I asked questions here, Changed the linecords, (since so many people insisted I do so) and re-recorded the bad greetings .. I can't understand why .. but it worked. (I tried rerecording 3 times before changing the line cords. Always something went wrong.

Ill swap out the cords and try rerecording

well finaly went in today and the greeting did have the sound at the end .

I'm fairly certain it wasn't there orginally , as this is a picky, picky customer . He wants his wife to do the greetings and she is critcal of them wanting them just right then when shes happy he reveiws it befroe I can leave.

we will see if it happens again but it sounds good now.

(didnt change any cords out and recorded on the same phone BTW )
