Call manager and 2600 for pots calls

There are two ways to set this up. The first is using H.323 on the router and then setting it up on the Call Manager Gateway. The second way to to use MGCP. I use the first way myself. First you must go to call manager and add a gateway. Select H.323 gateway and hit continue. Type the IP address of the 2600 router in the name field. You can put any discription. Second, goto the router and configure dial-peers on the router. If you are using 9 as you outside number make two dial peers with 9T as the destination address. you must also create a dial-peer voip and direct it to the call manager. You can use the session target ipv4

Hi,
We have a Cisco 2651 with 2 FXO and 2 FXS in our office. Before the MGCP people take over this from us, we want to do some testing on this. Is it possible to use this as a small telephone exchange.
For FXS, i can make it ring from test mode, it generates debug messages, when i lift the handset, dial a number etc. Can i assign a number to this and call from another FXS-Analog phone.
For FXO, i have connected to an external line and when i ring the line from another phone, Cisco picks up after 5 rings (i programmed it as 5) and it generates debug messages. But can i run a mini exchange so that the caller can reach a phone connected to FXS or to another phone connected to the 2nd FXO.
We are not planning to buy CCM because it is off budget and our primary intention is to get in MGCP.
Any information will be of great use to me.
