Call listen from external number

Can anyone suggest a way of setting up call listen from an external party? I have set it up and works OK from an internal extension. It's a strange request from one of our customers with a small call centre. How would an external party know when someone is on a call, I ask myself.

Would it be possible using voicemail pro? Chance to sell them a license perhaps!

you may be able to loop a trunk port to a station port and do something like that. I dont think there is an easy way to do it.

Unfortunately there are no analogue trunk ports on the system. The more that I think about it, the more I think the answers going to be no.

could you point a ddi to voicemail pro, which takes the ??? input, transfers to shortcode (call listen) with extension number ???

don't know if it would work but worth a try!

Thanks, I may give it a try on our in-house system. The customer doesn't have VM pro. (not yet anyway)
