I have non-ACD stations configured with call-frwd off net. What do I need to do to lock it down to local dialing only hence restricting call-frwding to a long distance number?

Thanks

What you could do is change the COS for those stations to a COS that restricts call forwarding off-net. If all the stations have the same COS, change that COS and change the restrict call-forward off-net to y then you should be all set. But mind you if the station is already forwarding off-net and you make this change the forwarding will still work. You will need to go to that station to unforward them or if done remotely remove the station then re-add it.

If I understand your question correctly, you want the caller to be able to call-forward off-net, but not to a long distance number. As far as I know, if that user has permission to dial long distance and that user has permission to call-forward off-net, I don't think that you can restrict them to only call-forward to a local number.

Marcell5, you are correct. I should have looked the whole sentence. If you want to allow someone to call-forward to local calls then they can also call-forward to long-distance numbers because off-net means not on the phone system which leaves local/ld as fair game.

If they are consistently forwarding their phone to the same off-premise number, (say their cell phone number) you could restrict them from the call-forward remote and set them up a remote coverage path. That would allow you to basically call forward their phone and set restrictions on where it is sent to. Just a thought....

Thanks again, and mikey, I like that idea since I cannot restrict the regular long distance ability. I will push them to give me one off-net number to call-fwd to and preprogram the option to that number only.

Thanks.
