I have a problem trying to get a phone to call forward to another line here in the hotel. The first number people call is 6085(its own phone) which I sucessfully have forwarding no answer to 6050. This line under the pbx vmail is set to revert when message capabilities is turned off (which it is)to 6161. This works fine. When you call it rings then says it will transfer to an attendant and it sends you to 6161 which is a pool of sales people. Problem is if you call 6050 while it is busy from inside or outside it goes to the operator or you get a busy display calling from internal. Its a nortel meridian system using a 2016 phone. There is no longer a physical phone there but it is on the second key (01) of another. I have hunt set for 6161, and the following classes fba fna cfxa. I tried setting a cfw key on the phone using chg, echg yes then "key 05 cfw 12". Also is there way to manually set the second line on the phone to call fwd. Or does it only forward the 00 key dn ?

Any suggestions....? I hope I explained it semi-clearly.

if the physical phone is not there, then take it out of software. make sure the second dn on the phone is marped on that phone.. phones programed and not plugged in will cause problems. i don't let them stay in a switch that i maintain.

Thanks again John...I'm not sure if this forum would survive without you :)

How do you marp a dn onto another phone that is already created? key 01 scr 6050? then marp yes?

I will need to place 6050 onto key 01 of the phone 6095. Most of our phones use 26095 for the second line. When I do a prt /dnb on 6095 it lists marp out to the side. I think it is on as a scr on someone elses phone.
Thanks
Brian

Well I think i just marped it onto the second line. Now the new question how do I control the rollover features of 6050 01 VS 6095 on key 00. Both lines are actually doing what we need except when calling in from outside if it is busy it goes to the operator. What I'm shooting for is in all scenarios 6050 will roll to 6161 and 6095 just rols to vmail.

Any ideas?

Brian

busy is controlled by the hunt prompt, is cls is hta and hunt target is voice mail then both should go to mail. if not post the tnb and the rdr data, printed in ld 15
