Call forwarding to a cell on a MICS 7.0

Hello again all,

Not asking for someone to do this for me but is there anything I should watch out for? Also, can this even be done. Ive read a couple posts about doing this but not on my setup. Going to be diving into this today or tomorrow and was hoping to be prepared in case something wonky happened.

Thanks again and Ill post any issues I have next after hopefully some pointers from our all star staff.

You have the hardware required

setup requirements:

Lines: set to disconnect supervision
Set: Allow Redirect
Route and Destination for the out dial.

I wouldnt have thought Supervision would interfere. From what I gather, and Im heading to research right now, that line supervision was to keep either the caller or receiver from tying up a line by leaving a call hung. What you listed so far is the direction I was thinking.

Exactly!

Do you want your callers transferring to a cell to be hung?

Obviously the answer is no therefore why you need to program it.

Is there any way to have the call ring on the extension it is coming in on AND forward the call to a cell so it could be picked up on either device or is it one or the other? Assuming the latter.

you are correct with the latter, now what might work for you is to have it ring at the Norstar set then set it to Forward no Answer to the Cell Phone.

If you try to forward the phone using a route that is not using supervised lines, the system will deny the forwarding.
