I have a customer who is trying to forward his extension to an outside number.

He dials F4 then 9 (Outside access code) and gets an "Invalid Number" message every time.

He is running on 4.1 software.

Now I have set up call forward to an outside number on many phones and have had no problems.

I simply dial F4 9 and the number.

he has no line appearances and neither do the phones I am using to make it work.

The only differences are that I am using Call Routing and PRI's on the systems I have seen it work on and he is just using CENTREX lines and line pool access.

Is this what is causing the 'hang up'?

make sure his set has allow redirect set to yes.

Thats not my fastball, thats my hurry up and get by you pitch... Satchel Paige

hehehe Thanks for the pitch.

A bit outside... Yes Redirect is set to yes.

You will need to use a destination code. Delete 9 as the access code for the line pool and create a destination code using 9 and have the route use the correct line pool. Of course redirect has to be set to yes as mentioned in the earlier post. I believe the incoming call has to be on a line that is supervised.

Do you have at least two intercom keys on each of the telephones? Do you have Line pool codes set up on each telephone? Look at capabilities file on telephone that works and make sure it looks like one that isn't working, even forward on N/A...

You will need to build a route and dest code applied to a Line pool group to get this to work.

Last thing to think of.....

I would also ask what number the user is trying to enter into the path of outdial....does it need a area code or LD code.....
