Hi,

My office Definity can only forward user extension to external (such as mobile) but not the hunt group extension(it only has one member which is a analog night bell extension).

Before I rebuilt all the system configurations, I can forward all incoming call from night bell to my mobile by setting the coverage path in that hunt group and entering my mobile number in coverage remote.

Now, the calls only keep ringing in the night bell but not forwarded.

Can anyone tell me any settings that I might missed?

Thx.

Why have the night bell as a member of a hunt group?
Is the 'night bell' the TAAS port in the attdt?
Will out knowing more how the call is getting to the hunt group, I would say take the night bell out of the hunt group and forward it to the outside, or better yet just give it the cover path with remote coverage as before.

Hi Orypecos,

Sorry for my stupid questions....^^" , I'm not really in deep knowledge on Definity.

The reason why I put the night as the member in hunt group is, we don't have the attendance console right now. I setup this hunt group to handle all incoming call to our primary number, and use the night bell to ring, so that we can be noticed that the incoming call.

I have no idea for what's the TAAS port in attd?

And actually, I've no idea for how to use Coverage Remote. I get used to the coverage path for the user extension. The reason why I used coverage remote is, that was configured by my ex-colleague, and I don't know what's the relationship between hunt group and coverage remote and coverage path....

thx a lot for all your support.

Kely, coverage remote is fairly simple to use. The first step would be "ch cover re" or change coverage remote. Put in the number that you like these calls to go to. The next step would be "add cov p n" or add coverage path next. Put in the coverage remote path number "r3" on the first point of cover. I would also make this for all calls. Add this coverage path to your station or hunt group and it should work for you.

Hope this helps.

Is the outside call trying ring at the hunt group or the night bell. If u display the trunk, is the destination the hunt group number or the extension of the night bell?
