call deflection to external phone 1

Hi Guys

I have a installed a ip office 500v2 8.0.44.
I have 4 ISDN2(bri) lines.
I have at present got the customer to use Twining at the reception phone to ring to the mobile when they leave the premises.
They need the ability to simply divert to different mobiles numbers each night

Previous system the customer used Analogue BT exchange services *21*number to divert the lines to there mobile.
Now i have BRI lines.
The PROBLEM is they have Noticed they dont get the Original caller ID on their Mobile ,They get the office line numbers instead.

Bt will set up etsi Call forwarding on the BRI lines
Lines set to Point to Point .

How do i set up the IPO to send the Incoming Number out to the Mobile using Twining.

Bear in Mind they will be diverting to different mobile numbers each night

If you are trying to set and activate a BT feature they need to tell you how it's done/what you need to dial really as only they know how it works

I have done this many times on the BCM using call forwarding.
Its a chargeable service.

The Exchange is set up with Etsi call forwarding on the lines.
This means the call is deflected by the exchange from the Phone system.
The system does not use any lines and the caller id is forwarded to the mobile number.

I have read about Partial routing on the IPO BRI line settings and there is a Tick box for sending the number to twinned calls.
I havent done it on an ipo so i am looking for ideas on how it works with IP Office

Have you used this on IPO systems

I haven't no, but BT are tw*ts for saying "yes we can sell you this feature"....great how does it work..."ask your PABX manufacturer".....er no it's a BT specific feature how the f**k would Avaya know how it works? I thought this was the case here. Have you tried activating the feature using the tickbox?..Can't hurt

I take it you are not a BT fan.

AS i said i have used this quite a lot on the BCM system and its controlled from the BCM by ticking the Etsi Call forwardinf Box on the system.
Thats why it a Customer Controlled Call forwarding.

I have been asked to set this up on the IPO as our sales Guys say it can be done.

So as an Engineer i have been tasked with the job because i do it on BCMs.

When i get to site i will try it, but i was hoping some one has done it before

I've done this with Panasonics with the BT Service

There are 2 ways of doing this - which depends on how the lines are configured i.e. point to point and point to multi-point (and I can't remember which way round is which)


One was is to dial a code that is received by the exchange (I vaguely recall this for MSN) the other is to set partial re-route on the ISDN lines and set the forward from the extension.

I never did this with an IPO as the versions I had didn't yet support partial re-route.

Found this on the installation Doc

Send Redirecting Number: This option can be used on ISDN trunks where the redirecting service is supported by the trunk provider. Where supported, on twinned calls the caller ID of the original call is passed through to the twinning destination. This option is only used for twinned calls.

Supports Partial Rerouting: Partial rerouting (PR) is an ISDN feature. It is supported on external (non-network and QSIG) ISDN exchange calls. When an external call is transferred to another external number, the transfer is performed by the ISDN exchange and the channels to the IP Office are freed. Use of this service may need to be requested from the line provider and may incur a charge.
Force Number Plan to ISDN: This option is only configurable when Support Partial Rerouting is also enabled. When selected, the plan/type parameter for Partial Rerouting is changed from Unknown/Unknown to ISDN/Unknown.

Got it working

Ticked Partial rerouting and forwarded the call from a phone (unconditional) to mobile phone.

Checked on SSA and no lines used.
Caller ID presented to mobile.

I am trying to set up exactly the same thing, but it isnt working!

Was it definitely Customer Controlled Call Forwarding that BT set up at the exchange? Did you need to give them the number you wanted to forward to, or dial any digits to activate it at the exchange? Did you need to do anything else on the system, other than tick Partial Rerouting? Are you forwarding direct to the mobile number, or to a shortcode that dials the mobile?
