OK, I had such good luck on my first post I decided to try another. I was working on this a few weeks ago and gave up. I have two data fields in a pivot table that are set to count. How would I divide one by the other in the pivot table? Am I making sense and is this possible?

THank You,

JS

When you are creating your calc fields, you should be able to pick the field names of any previously derived (calculated) fields to use.....either do that or use
=COUNT(Fieldname1)/count(Fieldname2)

Right click on your pivot table.

choose formula>calculate field> follow the wizard from there

you can build your formula by clicking on the fields in the list and adding your operators.

Hey guys,

Thanks for your responses,Im still not getting it to work correctly though. My previously derivied calculated fields are not there to pick from, and I tried using Geoff's formula and it returns all 1's. It is probally something I am doing incorrectly though, I will play with it a bit more here and see if I can figure it out....

Thank You,

JS

Guess it depends what's in the 2 fields - care to elaborate ???
