Calculate other field values based on text box supplied values

I have a form for registration purposes in which values are supplied for certain categories. I would like to perform calculations based on the supplied values to update values of other fields in the table.

It works great in an Excel spreadsheet, but I seem to be lost in the Access side of the world.

Is there any way to perform these calculations and then update the table record?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
