Hi.
If I read that right, you want to know which cables to use to connect these devices?
router to router=cross over (for ethernet)
router to router=serial (for serial connection)
router to hub=straight through
If your question is more along the lines of how to set up the topology of these devices to form a WAN or something, let me know what you're trying to accomplish and I'll help.

Thansk for your help, I have tried to find info on setting up a ccna lab but to no avail.
Basically I wandered if this would work.
2501 (serial 0) thru DB60 cable to 2520 (serial 1)
2520 (port ?) thru rj45 cross-over to 2611 (port ?)
2611 straight rj45 to hub, then from hub to nic(PC)
As I said I'm very new to all this and any info would be very much appreciated.

basic setup should be
2501 Router - port S0 to 2520 router port S1
as a matter of standard I alway set my clock rate of interface S0
from router 2520 to 2611 connect a cross over cable from E0 on 2520 to E0 on 2611 and configure the interfaces accordingly.
Then use a straight through cable from 2611 E1 to the hub. I would recommend you get a managed switch like the 1900 if you are going to prepare for the CCNA.

First go to CISCO.com and get the manuals for the routers and the IOS.
