C4070 DECT handsets cutting off power - Firmware or Hardware ?

Hi,

I read a previous thread (above mentioned) concerning the problem with DECT 4070 cutting off power and the solution seemed to be a new firmware.

Now my telco provider told me that is is more a "hardware" problem, in the fact that they will replace the box/cover which is pressing too hard on the electronic board during manipulation.

Has anyone more experience now on this subject ?

it is infact true that nortel supplies new batterycovers for this model to solve the issue.

Some how they think the old cover is crumbeling when it gets warm/old and pushes the battery slightly out of place.

Its a strange solution, and it not the first time they replace batterycovers/doors.

Somehow Nortel have succeeded to have bad handsets almost everytime.
