Hello,
I am trying to configure dot1x authentication on a Cisco 3550. I have read up on the configuration and it seems easy, however every configuration I have read shows the authentication method pointing to a RADIUS server. Has anybody ever set this up using "local" authentication with a C3550 (local user/pass's on the C3550?) or does it absolutely need to go to a RADIUS server?
Also how do I know what authentication method the C3550 is using? (My Mac OSX dot1x client allows for TTLS, TLS, PEAP, EAP-FAST, LEAP, and MD5... how do I know which auth method to use along with define it on the Cisco side?)
Thanks,
Rainman
