Hello,
I'm troubleshooting a new turnup of a Cisco 2821 which has a HWIC-D-9ESW and the ILPM-8 POE daughterboard. Basically when I connect any VOIP phones to ports on this 8 port switch they do not power up. If I connect a laptop/PC to any of these switchports they green up no problem.
I know when troubleshooting POE there is a command "show power inline" which is supposed to display POE info however when I try to run this command I am getting "Invalid input detected" which tells me the "show power inline" command is not valid.
Is there anything specific that has to be enabled to do POE to power up phones connected to the switchports on the HWIC-D-9ESW? I have worked with Cisco TAC and they suggested the HWIC-D-9ESW and also the ILPM-8 board is bad, they shipped me an RMA, and the new board does not seem to work either.
Has anybody here troubleshooted this before? I'm running IOS version 12.3(11)T10 (spservices build).
Thanks for any responses.
