Hi to all,

Pls help I am trying to solve this problem for nearly a week.

Here's the senerio....
1) I join a PC to the existing domain and make it the second domain controller. Replicated the users accounts from the first domain controller(exchange server).

2) Reinstall the first domain controller and install exchange server in the same server.

3) When I try to mount the Mailbox Store, I got C1041724 Error.

Both domain controller is running win2k.

I getting real tired.... any help is most welcome..

Did u move over the mailboxes? when you were doing this? what order did u do it in? did u dc promo the second machine. then install exchange..move the mailboxes over..make second exhcange server the primary then uninstall exchange on the first server then demote it?

Thanks, PAUL

No.. I did use dcpromo....

However all the user accounts are being replicated... the public folder can be mounted except for the Mailbox store... I dont want to restore the mail box...

many thanks for your reeply..

Well...ok so then you added another dc..and installed exchange. but u didn't move the mailboxes over to the new server? and u reformated the old server? if this is correct then you will need to restore your old server from backup..you did not do the implementation correctly.

Thanks, PAUL

I install another dc and replicate the accounts back to the old server(reinstalled). Then Install exchange and found that the mailbox store cannot be mount.

thanks

ok but u didn't move over the mail boxes? what utilitiy did u use to move over the user accounts? go to a user accounts properties. click on the exchange general tab. under mail box store what does it say? does it have your old server name as the server?

Thanks, PAUL
