does anyone know where i can get a good program for learning C++?

yo, dude do some research on it, also go to your nearest book store and look for any books on C++ for beginners, somewhere along that line, there are no programs that i am aware of that teach you C++, only books, or courses that you take at school. i hope it helped!

I think he means a basic compiler to start programming on. I think the issue is that he doesn't want to spend $200.00+ for books + compiler and find out he can't do it (3 years ago I tried learning C from a book and didn't have the time/dedication to learn).

I think the best bet is to go to the bookstore and some of the $40-$70 books may come with a basic compiler or a limited MS C++ studio version.

If you have access to student bookstore pricing on edu copies you may want to try that also. I think I got MS Visual Studio 5.0 for $129.99 which also came with a great book of example.
