Recently I have started getting a error message right after a user logs on. The error states that a filed named program is in the C:\ directory and may cause problems with applications. It gives me the option to automatically rename it or ignore it. When I choose rename, it renames the file to program1...and keeps renaming the files in a number sequence for example program1, program2..etc.. I have viewed the contents of the file with notepad, and they are blank files. The files do not have a file extension and are not associated with any programs. I have performed a scandisk with both scandisk options selected, for a thorough scan. I have updated my virus scanner and performed a full system scan, and I have scanned the files by themselves, and no virus was detected. When I delete the file and reboot it is automatically replaced. I also have scanned the drive with Ad-Aware, and it hasn't been detected with it.
Has anybody had a problem with this before? Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks
