Hi. I recently had an error that is ;

C:\Documents~\Username\Desktop\o([blue]the 'o' is highlighted with black color[/blue])\Documents~\All Users is not accessible. The filename, directory name, or volume lable syntax is incorrect.

Environment : Windows XP

The user's PC seemed nothing wrong except can't save only 1 excel big documents. And i tried to access his UserName\Application Data\Micro~\Excel profile, at the time, there was the similar error(only "AllUsers" is changed to the Username).

So, I tried to access AllUsers folder, then, there was the same error(When i was accessing username folder).

Anybody has any idea? Harddisk fault issue? or....
Thank you a million in advance.

What were you doing when you got that first error message?
Did it appear exactly like that (eg Documents~, not Documents and Settings or Docume~1).

Have you run a virus scan recently?

When did it start happening (any changes/untoward events immediately beforethis?)

btw - this is 2k forum - xp is in forum779

thank you wolluf.

the Documents~ is, "Documents and Settings".
And Virus scan is always running, the newest version.
Any idea?
