I've got Windows 98SE running. Is there anyway that I can bypass the login screen so it doesn't even come up? I don't have any profiles...All I do is just press ok or cancel when it comes up, but it just takes up valuable time:) Anyways, I was just wondering if there was a way I could not have it come up.
Thanks.

Control Panel, Network, Change primary logon to 'Windows logon'

I just checked that...cuz I thought I had already checked it, and it has been on 'Windows Logon'.
Any other suggestions???

Grab that software & install it. There's an option to set an automatical login to any specified user name & password.

"Windows Logon" should take care of automatically logging in as long as multiple profiles is disabled & the default username does _not_ use a password. But if it's not, you can always use the above software.

Howdy:

If this system is on a domain network, then you can't do anything as the system MUST acknowledge the logon..

However, if it is standalone, then try the following...

1: Make sure Windows Logon is the primary logon. Go back in and set it up again. DO NOT REBOOT WHEN PROMPTED..

2: Now, go to Start>Find (search) and do a search for *.pwl. Make sure you are searching the entire hard-drive.
Delete everything that shows up.

3: Now, reboot your system. If the logon box shows up, just press the OKAY button.. NOTHING ELSE !! Should be the last time you get it.
