I'm new to this forum so this is a work in progress.

Digital phones only get a buzz from specific incoming ananlog trunks. We have tried swapping out the card (QPC449A)that has the affected RM's, but problem does not follow card. tried swapping out the buffer card for that shelf and still no change. Again only digital phones are being affected by this, and only on analog trunks.

yes these are ground start trunks.

I thought they might be. This problem is generally caused from not having a "clean" ground. You swapping out the Trunk card and still having the problem would also lead me to this conclusion.

Best thing to do first is to take a butt-set (hopefully you have one) and test the trunk lines on the 66 block directly at the handoff/demarc from Bell. If clean there, then you would move back from there. If not, then I would call your LEC and have them come out and fix them.

Thanks, I will do this and see what happens.

When working with the butt set to test the analog lines we did not hear any distinct buzzing, but the problem was only noticeable on digital lines. So what we did is move the COT and DID (two QPC450 cards, and one QPC449 card) cards off of the shelf, LSC 1.0.1, 1.0.2, 1.0.3. Once we had moved the cards, and rebuilt the routes all the buzzing went away. This is not really a fix though it does alleviate the symptoms, but I believe this pretty much says that the problem is not with the ground start trunks. Any other ideas would be appreciated.
