Buttset for 3900 series phones

Is there an adapter similar to the P-Phone adapters for Centrex lines that will allow me to pick up a line off a buttset for testing?

I thought the P-Phone adapter PE290-04 would work, but it does not.

We wired a couple of alligator clips to a jack, connect the clips to the field, and plug the appropriate 39xx set into the jack. Does this accomplish what you are trying to do?

yes it does (it is what we currently do), but who wants to carry a 39XX set in a tool kit...
